Privacy policy
Closing Shift Guide is a static site. It has no accounts, no logins, no comment system, no newsletter and no form that collects anything. Everything below is about what third parties can see when your browser loads a page.
What the site itself stores
Nothing that identifies you. There is no cookie set by this site, no local storage key, no session, no tracking pixel of its own.
One thing that does run: analytics. Pages include Google Analytics 4 to count visits and which pages get read. That produces aggregate numbers — page views, approximate country, device type, referrer — and no profile attached to a name. Google's own handling of that data is described in Google's privacy policy, and a browser-level blocker stops it completely without affecting the site.
Third-party advertising
This site may carry advertising served by a third-party ad network. When an ad loads, the ad network — not this site — may set its own cookies or read its own device identifiers to measure and target the impression.
What that means concretely:
- The ad network may set cookies or device identifiers on its own domain, under its own policies.
- This site does not receive or store those identifiers. The relationship is between your browser and the ad network.
- The ad network's privacy policy governs what it does, and it is linked from the ad unit itself in most regions.
- Blocking the ad network does not break the site. Every page works with an ad blocker on; the advertising slot simply collapses.
Ad formats on this site
Two positions exist, and both are inert until an ad is served into them:
| Position | Where it appears | Size |
|---|---|---|
| Desktop native banner | Below the main content on wide screens with a mouse pointer | Responsive, inside a bordered panel |
| Mobile banner | Bottom of the page on small screens | 320×50 in a sandboxed frame |
The desktop slot only requests an ad when the browser reports a hovering pointer, so touch devices never load it. The mobile slot is served in a sandboxed iframe, which limits what the ad frame can do to the page around it.
Cookies you may encounter
| Cookie type | Set by | Purpose | Can you block it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate visit counts | Yes — any tracker blocker |
| Advertising | The ad network | Impression measurement and targeting | Yes — ad blocker, or the network's own opt-out |
| None | This site | — | — |
There is no consent wall because there is nothing here to consent to beyond the two rows above, both of which are third-party and both of which respond to standard browser controls.
What a page load actually sends
Every request to any website carries a little technical information. Here is the specific list for this site, separated into what is unavoidable and what is not.
| Data | Sent on every load | Retained by this site |
|---|---|---|
| IP address | Yes, to the host serving the page | No |
| Browser user agent | Yes | No |
| Page requested | Yes, in server logs | No long-term |
| Referrer | Yes, if your browser sends one | No |
| Cookie | No — this site sets none | — |
| Local storage | No — this site writes none | — |
The hosting layer keeps transient request logs for operational reasons, as every web host does. Those logs are not joined to anything and are not used to build a profile.
Analytics in more detail
Analytics on this site answers four questions and no others: how many people visited, which pages they read, roughly where they came from, and what kind of device they used.
It does not answer — and is not configured to answer — who any individual visitor is. There is no user ID, no cross-site profile built here, and no advertising audience created from this site's traffic.
If you would rather not be counted, any content blocker or the browser's own tracking protection stops the analytics request. The pages render identically; nothing on this site depends on the script loading.
Your controls
- Block both. An ad blocker and a tracker blocker stop everything in the table above. The site renders identically.
- Browser settings. Third-party cookie blocking in any modern browser covers the advertising case.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. These are sent by the browser and honoured by some networks, not all. The reliable control is the blocker.
- Delete what exists. Clearing site data removes anything the third parties set, because nothing here needs it to work.
Retention, in plain terms
This site stores nothing itself, so there is nothing here with a retention period. The two third parties are different:
- Analytics keeps aggregate event data on its own schedule, described in its own policy. It is not retrievable by this site as individual records.
- Advertising retains whatever its own terms specify, on its own infrastructure, under its own policy.
Neither is under this site's control, and neither is something this site can delete on your behalf. The reliable way to limit both is to block them at the browser.
Children
This site is a reference for a Roblox game, and Roblox's own audience skews young. There is no account system here, nothing is collected from anyone of any age by this site directly, and no advertising is targeted at children by this site's configuration. Parents who want a clean read: an ad blocker and a tracker blocker make the pages entirely static.
External links
Pages link out to Roblox — the game page, the badge list, the store. Once you follow one, you are on Roblox's site under Roblox's privacy policy, not this one.
Changes
If the advertising configuration changes, this page changes with it on the same day, and the Checked date at the bottom of the page moves. There is no historical archive of this policy because the site's data handling has not changed since it was published.
