Animatronics and their rules
The description names Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Golden Freddy and Fredbear as hunters with separate rules. Badge conditions add the Puppet, the squatter, EXG, the hunter, the Amalgamation and the endoskeletons.

The official description makes a specific promise about the cast: "Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Golden Freddy and Fredbear hunt by their own rules." Six characters, six rule sets, no shared behaviour.
It does not say what those rules are. This page therefore does something narrower than a wiki bestiary: it lists each character the official material names, and states only the behaviour that the description text or a badge condition actually confirms. There are no speed values, no detection ranges and no damage numbers here, because the game has published none.
The six named hunters
| Character | What the official material confirms | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Freddy | Enters Parts and Service; you can be in the room and leave alive | Neck Intact badge, 31,881 awards |
| Foxy | Held back by keeping a light on his face until he retreats | Description bullet + Stand Your Ground, 8,745 awards |
| Chica | Has a kitchen with its own survival condition | Five-Star Service, 1,154 awards |
| Fredbear | Can squeeze into your room; surviving it is its own badge | Tight Squeeze, 4,095 awards |
| Bonnie | Named as a hunter with his own rules | Description bullet |
| Golden Freddy | Named as a hunter with his own rules | Description bullet |
| Fredbear | Named as a hunter with his own rules | Description bullet |
Bonnie and Golden Freddy appear only in the description's list. No badge condition mentions either by name, and no mechanic is attached to them in the official text. That is not an oversight in this page — there is simply nothing further published, and a paragraph of invented behaviour would be worse than a short row.
The Puppet at the security desk
The description gives the Puppet a job: "Ask the Puppet at the security desk for help." It is not a hunter. It is the hint system, and the badge for using it — A Little Advice, 364,719 awards at 40.4 percent — is the third most common in the game.
Forty percent of players asking for a tip is a lot, and it tells you two things. The hint system is easy to reach, and roughly three in five players never use it. If you are stuck on a key, that is the fastest tool in the building and it is free.
The rest of the cast, from badge text
The description's six are not the whole roster. Badge conditions name five more entities, and those conditions are the only official statement that each one exists:
| Entity | Confirmed behaviour | Badge (awards) |
|---|---|---|
| The squatter | Drags players away; can be flashed away on cameras; can be interrupted by another player | Camera Shy (132,604), Not On My Watch (7,276) |
| EXG | Can be handed a shotgun | Armed Escort (3,060) |
| Hunter | Can be torn apart with the minigun | Scrap Metal (5,717) |
| Amalgamation | Has tentacles that can be cut until it pulls back | Chop Shop (2,820) |
| Endoskeletons | Guard the endo room and the cabinet at the back | Endo Room (5,728) |
"Hunter" and "Amalgamation" are separate entries, which suggests they are separate creatures rather than two names for one thing — one is killed with a minigun, the other is driven off by cutting tentacles. The description's other characters are ghosts and animatronics; these two read as something else.
Foxy, in more detail, because he is the one with a stated counter
Foxy is the only character whose defence is spelled out in the description: "Keep your light on Foxy's face." The badge for doing it until he retreats — Stand Your Ground — has 8,745 awards at 1.0 percent.
That low rate against a mechanic the game explains on the store page is the interesting part. Either players do not know the counter, or the counter is harder to execute than to read. Both readings point the same way: Foxy is where a run stops being about route knowledge and starts being about nerve. Holding a light steady on something that is closing on you is the one moment in Closing Shift that asks for stillness instead of movement.
The In The Dark badge — escape with your light off the whole night, 223 awards — makes Foxy a different problem entirely. If you are chasing that badge, you have given up the only stated counter to him.
Chica's kitchen is a room with a rule
Five-Star Service is awarded for making it out of Chica's kitchen alive, and only 1,154 players hold it — 0.1 percent. A kitchen is not usually the deadliest room in a restaurant, so the low count suggests the room has a trap rather than a monster: an exit condition you have to satisfy, not a corridor you have to run.
The same shape appears in Eyes On The Screen, 4,286 awards, for staying at the arcade until the thing behind you leaves. Two badges, two rooms, both requiring you to remain in place while something is near. That is a very different design from the rest of the map, where the correct move is almost always to keep moving.
What none of this tells you
There is no published figure for how fast any of them move, how far they see, what their patrol routes are, or whether they can hear you through a wall. The badge data tells you how many players survived each encounter; it does not tell you the encounter's numbers, and guessing them would make this page worse than useless.
The one mechanic with a stated number attached belongs to a weapon, not a monster: the minigun's targets reassemble after 45 seconds. That is the only hard timing in any official Closing Shift text.
