Each answer below is the same fact with the reasoning attached.

How much does Closing Shift cost?

Nothing. It is free to play on Roblox — no paid access, no entry fee. The store is optional: ten game passes totalling 2,289 Robux, cheapest 50. Details on the price list.

Are there any codes?

No. Closing Shift has no code redemption system — nothing in the description, the passes or the badges mentions one. See wiki and codes.

How many people can play together?

Solo, or up to ten friends in one escape party. Servers hold fifty players, which means several parties can share a building. See solo and co-op.

How many keys are there?

Four. The official description states it directly: find four keys and the four-digit code. Where they spawn changes nightly. See the four keys.

What is the four-digit code?

Whatever the exit panel says on the night you are playing. The description promises a different night every day, so a fixed code would contradict the game. A 2 November run reported 7825; treat it as that night's answer only.

Can the animatronics really hear me?

Yes, per the official description: "talk on voice chat and the animatronics listen. Say the right thing and they may let you go." The Silver Tongue badge has 90,070 awards for pulling it off. See voice chat.

How many animatronics are there?

Six are named as hunters: Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Golden Freddy and Fredbear. Badge conditions add the Puppet, the squatter, EXG, a hunter, the Amalgamation and endoskeletons. See animatronics.

How long does level 50 take?

Nobody has published an experience curve, so no honest hour count exists. What does exist: 30,263 players reached level 10, 594 reached 25 and 45 reached 50. See levels.

Are the game passes worth it?

Three are: Radar at 50, Shotgun at 70 and Infinite Stamina at 99 — all cheap, all change how you move. Skip the 599 Sniper until you know the map. See what to buy first.

Is there a single-player mode?

Yes. The description says solo or up to ten friends, and most escapes on record happened without a rescue: Not On My Watch, the co-op rescue badge, has 7,276 awards against 80,777 escapes.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Closing Shift is a Roblox experience and Roblox runs on PC, console, mobile and VR. Headphones are the developer's own advice and matter more on a small screen. See controls and platforms.

How often does it update?

Frequently. Created 21 September 2026, last build 7 November 2026. Ten game passes shipped in four batches between 13 October and 5 November, and all ten were rewritten on 6 November. See update timeline.

Does it have a story ending?

No. There is no ending sequence, no chapter structure and no narrative payoff. A run ends when the elevator takes you out, and then the building resets for the next night. The verdict page treats that as the main thing to know before you start.

What is the rarest badge?

Night Manager, for reaching level 50, with 45 awards. Behind it: Seven Nights at 167, In The Dark at 223 and Shadow at 287. The achievement page gives a route into each of the seven rarest.

Do the animatronics reset each night?

Yes, in the sense that the night resets: the description promises a different night every day, and key spawns and the code change with it. What does not reset is your account — levels, badges and passes persist. The daily nights page covers what resets and what does not.

Can you play without voice chat?

Yes. Voice is one mechanic, not the whole game: Silver Tongue has 90,070 awards against 80,777 escapes, so a large share of players finish runs without ever using it. The other 26 badges are all reachable without a microphone.

Do you lose anything when you die?

Not your account progress. Deaths cost you the run, and Not A Scratch (7,601 awards) is the badge for escaping without one, which tells you most people die at least once on the way out. Infinite Lives at 175 Robux removes the setback entirely.

How many badges are there?

27, all with public award counts. The commonest is First Night at 1,339,348 awards; the rarest is Night Manager at 45. The badge page has all 27 with their conditions.

Do I need to buy anything to escape?

No. Ten game passes exist and none is required: 80,777 players have escaped, and nothing in any description gates the elevator behind a purchase. The price page lists every item and what it actually does.

One more: is it worth playing?

Play it for a horror escape you can finish in an evening, alone or with friends, where the microphone is a mechanic. Skip it if you need a story with an ending. See the verdict.
